KRISTIN SCHWARCK, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
Originally from North Dakota, Kristin has been a physical therapist in Breckenridge since 2003. She received her Master of Science in Physcial Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Andrews University. Kristin is board certified in orthopedic (OCS) and sports (SCS) physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is certified in trigger point dry needling, Pilates, and Kinesiotaping. She is passionate about helping her patients return to the activities they love. Her free time is spent riding and racing mountain bikes, skiing, and traveling.
BARBARA THOMAS, PT, MPT, OCS, ATC
Barbara Thomas moved to Colorado from San Marcos, Ca. She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder earning her BA in Kinesiology. She moved back to California to work with the Athletic teams of the Palomar Comets to finish her internship hours for her Athletic Training Certification. While in California she was accepted to Western University of Health Sciences earning her Master in Physical Therapy. After graduating in 2002 she returned to work in a private clinic in Boulder, Co focusing on Sports Medicine. Once back in Boulder she realized that her true love was in the Mountains of Colorado. Jumping at the opportunity Barbara began working as a PT in the Vail Valley in 2004. She has been a physical therapist in Breckenridge since 2007, and loves the community Summit County has to offer. Barbara is a Certified Specialist in Orthopedics, and Pilates Equipment. Barbara believes athletes are made up of people any age, and varying abilities. Barbara enjoys working with people to create and achieve their physical therapy goals. Barbara loves snowboarding and skinning with her new split board during the winter and her summers are filled with rowing on the beautiful lake Dillon, biking and volleyball.
JEN GOTANTAS, PT, DPT, OCS
Jen is a physical therapist, clinic director and owner of Axis Sports Medicine. She has been 'doing whatever it takes’ to get the locals and visitors of this Summit County back outside for over 20 years. The best job ever! A NY girl at heart, she graduated from Ithaca College and has kept current earning certifications as an Orthopedic specialist, in Pilates and Trigger Point Dry needling. To enhance her skills and grow her practice she received her Doctorate of PT in 2014. With a hands on approach she specializes in all sports and spine injuries, post operative care and Lymphatic drainage. When not “needling” patients she is skiing and biking in the amazing Rocky Mountains, trying not to tumble down them, with husband Marty and rescue lab Benson.
CHRISTY ROST, PT, DPT, OCS
Christy is a Physical Therapist at Axis Sports Medicine in Frisco. She has been a Frisco resident for close to 23 years, and Frisco is dear to her heart. Christy is a Colorado native and spent her childhood skiing, snowboarding, sailing and camping in Summit County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Christy is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and is also certified in trigger point dry needling, Pilates rehabilitation and women’s health. When taking time off, Christy loves to travel with her husband and son to various destinations to surf.
AMI DOYLE , PT, MPT, OCS
Ami earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University in 2000. She has over 15 years of experience in General Outpatient Orthopedics and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Ami has enjoyed working with a variety of orthopedic injuries as well as a variety of patient populations throughout her career. She has received advanced training in manual therapy from the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) as well as Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation training, with a focus on balance and fall prevention. Ami was born and raised in Denver, CO but has been a frequent resident of Summit County her entire life. Ami enjoys the outdoors through hiking, biking, skiing and fly fishing; but her passion lies on the ice, playing hockey.
ALI COFER, PT, DPT, SCS
Ali is from Richmond, VA. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado in 2008. After graduating she went on to do a sports medicine residency in Vail, Colorado. She has over 8 years of experience in outpatient sports medicine and is a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist. Ali loves the active lifestyle Summit County provides. In her spare time she loves biking, rafting, skiing and hiking with her pooch and husband.
TERRI STASHICK, PT
Terri received her degree from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario Canada in 1987. She has worked in the industry for over 28 years including major ski resorts in both Canada and the United States. Her post graduate education has focused on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Manual Therapy and Trigger Point Dry Needling. Her experience has enabled her to work with patients ranging from weekend warriors to elite athletes alike. She moved to Summit County in 1999 and enjoys the beauty of the mountains, nordic and downhill skiing in the winter, while mountain and road biking in the summer.
JENNY HUTCHINGS, PT, DPT, OCS
Jenny was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of San Francisco in Business Administration. She earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado at the Anschutz Medical Campus in 2014. Prior to graduating she interned with Axis Sports Medicine in Breckenridge. She enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking and biking in the summer.
PATIENT COORDINATOR I HUMAN RESOURCES
Lauren was raised in Summit County. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned a BA in English and a BA in Spanish. She has been part of the Axis team since the beginning in 2012. Lauren has been and continues to be an important part of the Axis team. Her responsibilities include Administrative Coordinator, Payroll Administrator, Insurance Specialist and is also part of the Human Resource team. She has an amazing daughter, Mikayla, who is 2 years old. She enjoys hiking in the summers with her family, and the limited warm weather Summit County has to offer.
